Avril To Be The Next X-Factor Judge??

Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato,  Avril Lavigne, Do they have the X Factor??
Miley is on a shortlist to become the new judge, though Avril Lavigne is also on Cowell's wishlist. Lavigne is no stranger to the Fox show, having performed her hit song 'Complicated' with last year's finalist Chris Rene. However, it seems the pair are not the only ones being considered for the judging place, with the Hollywood Reporter suggesting Demi Lovato is also in the running. They say, "The deal is not yet done and could fall apart, but sources say Lovato's team is in final negotiations for the job".

Avril Lavigne Talks Ex-Husband, Life Lessons 'I was really happy to have him produce on this record,' Lavigne says of Sum 41's Deryck Whibley.

This week, Avril Lavigne released her new album, Goodbye Lullaby, an emotionally charged record that will leave some fans wondering just who she is singing about. With a highly publicized divorce from Sum 41 singer Deryck Whibley and equally highly publicized romance with "Hills" star Brody Jenner, Lavigne says that she doesn't really care if fans are trying to decode her songs.

"At this point, because I've been doing this for 10 years, I've kind of learned ... my life lesson has been about not worrying about people and what they think," she told MTV News. "Obviously I care. I want people to like my music and stuff. I've had to learn to really focus on myself: who I am, what I want ... You don't want to have distractions, especially when you're being creative."
Lavigne's ex-husband Whibley worked on many of the album's tracks. And considering how well the former spouses get along, the spunky pop star doesn't seem bothered by public speculation about her personal life. "I respect Deryck so much as an artist, and he produced several songs on this record," she explained. "I mean, he's in a really cool band, he's a writer and he's a rocker."
Whibley's skills and the duo's easygoing nature are what helped make magic happen in the studio. "He's a musician. He does it all, and to have him come on this album and produce and mix, it's like he's so talented, I was really happy to have him produce on this record," she added. "He did a really amazing job. We're great friends and I'm grateful for the relationship."

Avril gets new tattoo

Avril Lavigne has got a new tattoo following a "girl's night out".
The Canadian singer made the spontaneous decision to visit the Shamrock Social Club tattoo parlour, in Hollywood, on Saturday to get a safety pin etched onto her neck following a day with her friends.
She wrote on her twitter page earlier in the day: "Girls day!!!!!! Listening to my new record with my girls and catching up ... Love u babeskis. (sic)"
Soon after, she added: "Uh-oh girls day turning into girls night. Should I get a tattoo???? Haha. (sic)"
Throughout the procedure, Avril, 26, kept her fans updated with pictures and dropped hints about the design she was having.
She tweeted at one stage: "Omg..k. Here we go... It's comes in handy all the time, it can hurt you, but at the same time keep you together, safety first! (sic)"
She eventually revealed the design in a picture, adding the caption: "It's a. Safety pin b***hes!!!!! (sic)"
Despite her spur-of-the-moment decision to get the body art, Avril had no regrets later.
She wrote on her twitter account: "What a great day with my girlfriends. Hahah. Just being me... Girl time is always necessary. And I got a tattoo. Holy crap hahah. (sic)"
The 'What the Hell' singer has previously revealed she gets tattoos to remind her of fun times in her life.
She said recently: "I like all my tattoos, they all remind me of friendships, a lot of them are matching tattoos with friends. It's a moment in time. Whenever I'm having a really good time I bust out and say 'Let's get tattoos.' "
She  has 'Brody' tattooed under her right breast, while the reality TV star has 'Avril' etched on his arm.
The 26-year-old singer also has two tattoos which she shares with ex-husband Deryck Whibley, and a star inside her left wrist which is identical to one her friend, ex-Evanescence guitarist Ben Moody, had done at the same time.

Lavigne worked with longtime collaborators Deryck Whibley, Evan Taubenfeld and Butch Walker, as well as songwriter/producer Max Martin. Among its upbeat tracks are "What the Hell," an unabashed embrace of fun and freedom, and "Stop Standing There," fueled by an early-‘50s girl-group feel. The album runs the gamut of emotions: Lavigne expresses her gratitude for special people in her life in the rocker "Smile," explores the dynamics of a relationship in "Push," shows her vulnerable side in "Wish You Were Here," and finds the strength to close one chapter of her life and move on to the next in the title track "Goodbye."
Outside the recording studio, Lavigne is a successful entrepreneur who continues to design and direct her lifestyle apparel brand, Abbey Dawn, which has expanded its worldwide footprint and will be shipping to 50+ countries beginning this month. Along with her popular fragrance Black Star, she recently introduced Forbidden Rose and is launching a third fragrance in 2011. This September, Lavigne's past charitable work also inspired her to create The Avril Lavigne Foundation. The Foundation works in partnership with leading charitable organizations to design and deliver programs, raise awareness, and mobilize support for children and youth living with serious illnesses or disabilities.
Avril Lavigne has made an indelible mark on the music community, selling more than 30 million albums worldwide, earning eight Grammy nominations and seven Canadian Juno Awards. She burst onto the music scene in 2002 with the critically acclaimed Let Go, featuring the smash singles "Sk8r Boi" and "Complicated." Her 2004 release, Under My Skin, debuted at #1 on the Billboard charts, as did her third album, The Best Damn Thing, which produced the irrepressible #1 single "Girlfriend" and logged more than 130 million views on YouTube!
